Short for Electric mail

Email is the exchange of messages over the Internet or network. Normally, the sender and the receiver will have an Email address similal to their Internet provider, such as johndoe@aol.com or johndoe@comcast.net, where comcast.net and aol.com are the ISP.

Email has quickly become the avenue for viruses and spyware to propagate.
