ATA Advance Technology Attachment

ATA is a standard typically known as IDE, or Integrated Drive Electronics, and is the interface standard for integrating controllers onto disk drives. Some of these specifications are also called Fast ATA, EIDE, ATA-33, DMA-33, Ultra-DMA and UDMA.
